Announced as another Kickstarter exclusive, the Pebble Time 2 is selling for $169 which is only $20 more than the original, after the recent Pebble price drop. It’ll be $199 when it goes on sale ‘properly’.
The affordable smartwatch joins the Pebble 2 and the Pebble Core and is arriving with Pebble’s usual array of features – along with some new ones in tow. You’ll get the same the same phone, text and information notifications plus the addition of heart rate monitors and more activity tracking.

The Time 2 is being touted as a “premium smartwatch for the active professional” meaning it’s the fanciest of the bunch and is stainless steel with colours available in gold, silver and black.
If you’ve been disappointed by the brightness level or small real estate of the first Time, Pebble listened. Time 2 features a colour e-paper display that is more than 50% larger and has a higher resolution of 80% more pixels so more can be seen on the screen.
It’s a 228 x 200 1.5-inch display covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Despite these changes to the display, the battery life remains lengthy and can last up to 10 days on one charge.
Pebble Time 2 starts shipping in November with worldwide shipping and will be heading to other retailers later this year into early 2017.
There’s been no announcement for a follow up to Pebble Time Round but it did release later than the first Time last year so it’s possible a Round 2 will show up in a few months.
